Bharatpur Sanctuary is one of the most established wild saves in India and was made 250 years back when it was named after the Keoladeo (Shiva) sanctuary inside its limits. Prior, the recreation center was a customary chasing spot for the Maharajas of Bharatpur in the year 1850.
It was a custom to shoot numerous ducks in the pool of the save in the respect of the British emissaries. In 1938, more than 4273 winged animals including mallards and greenish blues were murdered by Lord Linlithgrow, the then Governor General of India.
