Belgaum (authoritatively known as Belagavi, and prior known “Venugrama” or the “Bamboo Village”,) is a city in the Indian province of Karnataka. It is the regulatory home office of the eponymous Belgaum division and Belgaum area.
The Government of Karnataka has proposed making Belgaum the second capital of Karnataka, henceforth a moment state regulatory building Suvarna Vidhana Soudha was introduced on 11 October 2012.
